Have dinner at a Nubian family

"Fool" (beans cooked slowly all night - see foto left) and Molochea (foto in the middle) are typical dishes in Upper Egypt. But not the only ones. All kinds of vegetables and fruits are grown by Nubian people in large gardens. Women sit together and take their time to pick out and clean the nicest leaves to prepare a delicous meal for their family.

"A" delicious meal? - Its not one, its a lot of different dishes they serve. As soon as you sit down you will have to choose between soup, molochea, salat, rice, potatoes, meat, cooked vegetables of all kinds. Bread (mostly baked by the housewife itself) is served to be taken between the fingers and to pick some of the food.

How about picnic on the felucca? Take a felucca tour, maybe throw the fishing rod and enjoy the delicate meal which Mustafa will have brought along from his mother.
