On top of a rock high above the river Nile the „Nubian House" is to be found.
To your left the landscape
of the cataracts is glowing in the blue water, While the „qahwa"
- turkish coffee flavoured with cardamom - obscures your senses with its sweet
scent.
To your right green islands, the sparkling river and the golden desert unite
into one picture: picturesque, idyllic Aswan. No traffic, tranquillity, feluccas
which cross the river and the sun, which, by getting closer to the mountain
across the Nile, spreads more and more soft red light. A place to watch a
beautiful sunset!
With the sunset lampions made out of glass start competing with the glittering lights of the city from below, ideal to have some juice, tea or coffee and - for a change - a tour round the backyard, where rooms and utensils give an impression about Nubian life in the earlier days.
